So...is this art thing weird?
Jesus has been depicted in art in many forms for centuries, but where do see Him most clearly? Art? Music? Nature? His Word?
Have you had an undeniable encounter with Jesus Christ this week that you would be willing to share with us so that we would all be encouraged and built up?
Pray for eyes to see The Unseen Reality.
"I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe." --Ephesians 1:18-19a

Lifted up...
Galatians 3:1b "Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified." Or, as the NLT puts it, "For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross."
Okay...Paul didn't have this rendering in his field of vision when he wrote under the Holy Spirit's inspiration to the church at Galatia. Heck, Rembrandt wasn't even around yet. However, it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us that we'd spend some time contemplating the cross.
As divinely-created beings, we appreciate that which can be seen. So, take some time this week to meditate on the cross of Christ using this piece of art. Ask God to give you eyes to see. Engage your imagination. Become one of the crowd. Look and listen.
See Him high and lifted up...

I'm going going...back back...to Gali, Gali
I know, it doesn't really work...but you get the idea.
Head back to the familiar place in the Word -- Galatians. We'll be reading chapter 3 this week, and hey, why not start from the beginning and read 1 and 2 again as well? Letters sometimes make more sense when you read them in chunks, if not in full.
Write down some thoughts, questions or general things you'd like to discuss on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to hearing from you all. I feel like there is something I need to learn, and it will be coming out of your mouths. And to those of you who cannot be there, please share your thoughts through commenting. I really want to hear from you too.
Also, remember to come back to the week's post to get a recap on what happened during the Sunday class time. We often get into interesting stuff, which I try to describe in the comments section.
I love you all more than I can explain...
